CHILOÉ: AN ISLAND OF BIRDS
A destination not to be missed by bird and nature lovers
The archipelago of Chiloé has a great variety of landscapes and ecosystems: fiords, beaches, coastal islets, virgin forests, meadows, and an endless number of wetlands. In this scenario, we may find an enormous amount of biodiversity. Different species of resident birds that live, nest and breed, and others that migrate, visiting us in certain seasons. Approximately 140 bird species live in the area, in a geographical range attainable within a few days, which makes Chiloé an ideal area for birdwatching.
